UNITED STARZ - MATCH REPORTS 2009
ROUND 14 - 8th August, 2009
Unitied Orions - 15 def Ace - 4 - Coach: Kim Chambers
Another great game by all the girls. A bit of a slow start but we all came together to pull off another win. Our defence once again proved to be lethal with everyone putting ressure on their players which in turn provided many a turnover. Half time score was 8-4 to us, Final score was 15-4 to us, so we kept them scoreless in the second half, a testament to our great defence. We had a few steps recorded today against a few girls, we need to keep our mind on the job at hand and remember the basics in attack. Once we accomplish faster passes and become quicker on court we will discover that we can get the ball down the court in a passage of play that will result in a goal. Practice makes perfect, Well done girls.
ROUND 13 - 1st August, 2009
United Sparkles V Brothers - Coach: Bec Faulks
Score 5 4
What a fabulous win girls, this is the second time we have beat Brothers which is a fantastic achievement. We are now running in third position on the point’s ladder. Great goal shooting by Jazmine, Bek and Chloe who nailed a shot from out wide to seal the game in the closing minutes. Rachel - good work in the defence circle and goal circle. Annabelle - great movement down the court, your game is improving every week. Tatum - nice work in and around the goal circle. Jaimy - you are the queen of re-offering (you were in the clear a lot to receive passes and then ran around to receive another pass) to help get the ball down to our shooters, fabulous game. Kassie - you played the whole game at GD and you really helped keep the opposition from scoring, good job. Sophie - nice work sticking with your player. Girls if we get in front for passes and keep moving to receive a pass we will have more success every week.

Congratulations girls, it was a good win. All girls are coming together nicely. Today I made a few changes as I am trying new combinations and giving all girls a go at different positions. We are getting to the end of the season and we need to work on our strengths as a player and concentrate on your ability and what you bring to the game. Hopefully next year you all have developed into a position that you can improve on as you work your way through the seasons. I can see great potential in all the girls and it is a thrill to see the improvement you are all making each week.

This game was the best game that I have seen to date. We were tying with them at half time and it really was only small silly mistakes with passing really that saw them get away from us. I am glad to see that everyone really lifted in this game and these mistakes can be rectified. I am looking forward to training with the Div 4's on Wednesday night as I believe that this will really help us strive towards our final's objectives. See you then.

Oh my goodness what an amazing effort made by all today. We played one of the top teams in our division and only lost by one point, you should all be very proud of yourselves. As a coach I am over the moon with proudness (not even sure if that's a word but it sounds good). The way that you all came together and played as a team. Tayla and Taylah had a hard job down in the shooting goal at times with a lot of rough defence, but well done girls you hung in there. Congrats to Olivia T who played for the first time two quarters as C, you were amazing thank you for trying that position for me. To the rest of the girls, Erin, Alice, Georgia and Hayley well done also. Not many more games left now girls, lets see if we can go out with a bang. See you all Thursday night. (except Olivia T and Hayley which I know about).
ROUND 12 - 18th July, 2009
Div 3 United Glimmer 33 vs Scorpions 55 Coach: Michelle Willis
I haven't put a match report in for some time so apologies for that. This game was hard but we seriously need to look at whether we want to maintain a path towards finals contention, as we are still in contention right now. Next training we will discuss this as a team and agree a strategy based on the outcome of that discussion. See you all then.
U/9 Orions - 13 def Pirates - 1 Coach: Kim Chambers
Well girls another win under our belt. All girls again put in 100%. There was some great passages of play and some wonderful drives to space. I can see so much improvement in each girls game which is outstanding to see as a coach. The stats today showed again our defence is as strong as ever, with intercepts galore, but most importantly not many calls against us in the obstruction and contact area. A few steps and held balls was my only concern, something to work on. We had an outstanding Carnival on Sunday, with 4 Wins and a draw, so we tied for first place. Well done. The scores were 19-Nil, 5-Nil, 6-6, 19-1, 9-3. You all showed me how versatile you all were with many a change in positions. There was some exceptional plays throughout the day and each girl contributed to each game. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves, a big thankyou to Janine who did a great job organising us all, her efforts made the day run smoothly.

What a fantastic game girls. I know it was not a win, but the way you played together as a team, was wonderful you showed us all today what you all can really do. You should be all very proud of yourselves.
Congratulations to Taylah S, Tayla, Erin, Hayley, Brianna, Olivia T, Olivia F, Alice and Georgia for a great carnival day. It was a long day, and at times you showed how tired you all were, but you never gave up. You all should be very proud of winning three games and only two losses, that is a wonderful acheivement by all of you. Enjoy this week off and I will see you all at training the following Thursday (who can beleive it only three games left).

United Eclipse 13A's Match Reports as at Round 11 - 11/7/2009

United Orions (Netta 9's) - 21 def Scorpions - 1 : Coach: Kim Chambers
This was one of the best games this season, all players played such a great game. Everyone seemed to be in the right place at the right time. Everyone backed up each other and supported each other and we steadily brought the ball down each time. Kata, Chloe, Jasmine and Lucy were our shooters today and all need to be congratulated on an amazing performance in the goal shooting department. Of course we need to mention the great skill shown by our mid-courts, Lacey, Tahla and Jasmine who provided many options round the circle as well as being in the right position for the pass. Our Defence end showed great skill in keeping the opposition only to a score of 1 and Sam and Tahla again continue to impress with intercepts galore. Again this was a team effort and you should all be proud of yourselves.

We finally did it, we got a win. You all showed today what you can do when you really want something. The third and fourth quarters of the game where your best, you all started to work as a team moving the ball up and down the court. It did get a little hairy scary towards the end as I thought you were only one ahead, and it turns out you were two ahead. You should all be very proud of yourselves, we still have areas to work on, but every team does. Well done girls. See you all at training.
