U6 – U10: Optus Small-Sided Football
Welcome to the 2010 football season.
The muster schedule for players in the U6 – U10 age groups is listed below. These sessions are held mainly for the purpose of allocating players to teams although they also allow for:
v Coach and Manager nominations
v Volunteer nominations;
v Training time and field allocation;
v Game familiarization for coaches, players and parents; and
v Team building.
It is important that players attend the sessions listed to ensure teams and training times are allocated before the official season commences.
As with previous seasons, Rivers will be adopting the “hub” model for Optus Small-Sided Football (“SSF”) (U6–U10 teams) in 2010. The “hub” is normally made up of 4 to 5 local clubs with teams alternating between home and away matches.
The official season for SSF teams is scheduled to commence on Saturday, 17th April 2009 through to Saturday, 28th August 2010 (dates may be subject to change as directed by Football Brisbane).
