Executive Committee Welcome 2010  

Welcome everyone to the 2010 Football and Netball season at Pine Rivers United Sports Club.  The Executive Committee and divisional Committees are very excited about this coming season and hope to build on our achievements again during this year.  The achievements to name a few were as follows:

·         *Terracing between the main field and the lower field was completed

·         *Completion and launch of the Netball & Futsal Courts at the rear of the Club

·         *8 out of 13 Netball Teams making Grand Finals.  4 of those 8 teams winning the
      Premiership

·         *Garden’s installed around the Club and along the retaining wall of the courts

·         *The Premier team remained in the Premier division and continues to build up team
      strengths leading into the 2010 season

·         *The Senior division successfully recruited new Coaching staff for 2010

The Committee’s are driven to continue to build and develop our players and coaches through the training and leadership programmes in place, led by our 2 fantastic Director’s of Coaching in Netball (Kim Chambers) and Football (John Browett).

The Squirts programme will again be run in 2010.  This programme enables children for the ages of 3 to 5, to enjoy the excitement of developing their football skills.  Similarly, the United Starz Netball Division for the first time are running a Sparkles programme.

Continuing improvements will be made to the Club this year and grant applications will also continue so that larger scale improvements can be undertaken through funding where we are successful.

Of important note, our website www.pineriversunited.org.au (now just over 12 months old) is a continual source of up to date information for the Club and the Football and Netball Divisions.  With close to 1,000 visits per month from Australia (4,000 from international visitors), it is a very popular website.  The information is updated on a regular basis and we encourage any suggestions for additional information that you would like to see there.

In closing, the Executive Committee are aiming to improve the image of PRUSC being a community and family orientated Club within Pine Rivers, that offers quality coaching and development strategies for players and their families.  The Executive Committee welcome feedback or are happy to discuss any issues or concerns.  All enquiries/issued can be emailed through to manager@pineriversunited.com.
