I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone who helped to make the role of the Director of Coaching in 2008 an enjoyable and fulfilling experience for me.

There are a few changes of personnel in the coaching ranks for 2009 - Steve Koster has been appointed to the positions of Assistant DOC.

Steve will be working with the Rooball coaches and will be developing a Squirts Program for the very young players. 

The pre-sign-on training programs will start in early January.  All players are welcome to take part in these training sessions, the times and dates are noted in our Important Events and News section of the Juniors site.

The Rivers Academy will again have two intakes over the 2009 season.  Selections will be made in consultation with the team coach, the Assistant DOC and myself.

The Academy program is open to all registered Pine Rivers players. If your child would like to be considered for the Academy program please let any of the coaching staff know your child’s name.

Players need to understand that to gain improvement in any technique it is essential to learn the technique, continually practice the technique and decide in what situations in games to use the technique.
